About

I have over 15 years’ experience in writing, editing and producing stories for print and digital media. My writing has been published in Country Walking, Trail and Landscape magazines, as well as online for English Heritage and The Space. I’ve edited both print and online publications for English Heritage, Oxfam and Bauer Media, and in 2020 my digital storytelling project Speaking with Shadows won the UK Heritage Award for Best Contribution to Heritage.

I have always been captivated by language and stories, from devouring books the size of doorstops when I was a youngster to delving into the art of literature at university. I believe in the power of authentic, human storytelling to connect us to the world and each other, and in 2021 I completed an MA in Creative Writing at Royal Holloway, University of London, to hone my own craft and learn more about how words weave their magic in the world.

My storytelling can take me deep into wild landscapes, as well as into history books and the lives of others, but what connects all my work is a passion for crafting narratives that are inspiring, authentic and always, always deeply human.
